Emma graduated from preschool last Wednesday. They had a cute program with singing, a slide show and the kids telling what they wanted to be when they grew up. Emma said she wanted to be a ballerina. It concluded with the presentation of diplomas.

Emma and Colin. Colin and Ella are Emma's buddies from Gretchen's (our daycare). Supposedly, Colin gave Emma her first kiss behind the chair at Gretchen's a year or two ago. He still calls her his "girlfriend." She doesn't really like when he does that. I worked with Colin's dad when I taught in Big Lake. We always get a kick out of watching them play together. We'll have to see if they are in the same class for kindergarten next year. That could be interesting!!

This is Emma's best friend Ella. They are very much alike. Both quiet and shy in certain situations, but once they are comfortable, watch out!! Ella and Emma won't be going to the same school next year, so hopefully we can stay in touch.

Emma really enjoyed being in preschool, and I think it will make the transition to kindergarten that much easier. Not just on her, but for Troy and I also. Her teacher Miss Becky said she was quiet but felt comfortable in the classroom. She also told us that she loved telling stories to her classmates. So, with this first big step behind us.... kindergarten, here we come!!!
