State Champs!!

What a great weekend of basketball!!

She had so much fun with these pom-poms, static hair and all...thanks for lending them to her Amanda. (hopefully she'll be one we'll be watching on the court someday)

There was an unbelievable amount of Pelican people at all the games. We talked about how it felt like an all class reunion. What great support from the community!

Vegas

Our ride!
Ok, so my pics are kind of in a backward order. I guess you could start at the bottom and scroll up. Here is Troy and Jared at the reception.

Dave and Brenda....so pretty!!

This was our view from atop the Stratosphere. I talked Troy into going on Big Shot (just like Power Tower at Valleyfair, but about 1,ooo ft. up!! Scary, but would totally do it again!!
I guess you could say that Troy and I finally went on our honeymoon. After being married for 8 years, and together for going on 13 years, we finally took a trip together! My cousin Brenda was getting married, so we decided it was a good enough excuse to head her direction. Here Troy and I are at Red Rock Canyon.
This is the new bridge they are building over the canyon. Right now, the only road getting in and out of Vegas to Arizona, is across the dam which is only two lanes. When we were on the dam tour, our guide said that when they built the dam back in the 30's, they built is earlier than scheduled and under budget. This bridge is already behind schedule, and is way OVER budget. Troy and I found that rather interesting!

Who knew jumping rope could be so funny???

Charla's Baby Buck

Here is the baby buck that I shot Sunday night. I had the chance at a doe, but missed. Then about half an hour later, this little guy and another deer walked right under my stand. I thought this one was a small doe, but when we got a close up look at it, realized he had little nubs where his antlers were. I can finally say I shot a buck, but he didn't even have the horns. Oh well, there's always next time. Hopefully, I won't have to wait another five years to shoot another one. Troy had the opportunity to shoot a doe, but passed.

House Facelift

We finally got our new siding put up, and it ended up being lighter that what we expected. We wanted the bump out on the front to be a lighter color, and even though it is a lighter color than the rest of the house, you can barely tell the difference. Oh well, it looks a lot better than what was up before and I got to replace all my outdoor lights. All the photos uploaded backwards, so above is the after, below is the before.

Above after, below before.
